Rule 01

Competition Format

Founded in 2015 by Sindy Monson, Ballet Grand Prix was created to support and celebrate young dancers in Scotland. Today, the competition welcomes talented dancers from across the globe, providing a platform where artistry, education, and performance come together.

Our mission is simple: to create an inspiring, educational, and enjoyable experience that supports each dancer's development through valuable stage experience, a growing network of supporters offering prizes, bursaries, and training opportunities.

🩰 Semi-Final — Judged Masterclass
Dancers take part in a professionally judged ballet masterclass, assessed on technique, musicality, artistry, potential and work ethic. The top 20 dancers per category advance to the Final.
Locations: London (Acosta Dance Centre) & Scotland (TBC)  ·  Entry Fee: £40
✨ Final — Solo Performance
Finalists perform a Classical and Contemporary solo before an expert judging panel. All finalists take part in the Grand Défilé at the Awards Ceremony.
Entry Fee: £80

Final marking: Classical solo 40% · Contemporary solo 40% · Semi-final masterclass 20%.
The Défilé is not judged.
