Read the Rules

Review the full Rules & Regulations, especially the age categories and approved repertoire list for your category.

Complete the Online Form

Fill in the registration form with all required dancer and teacher details. All fields are required.

Make Payment

Registration is only complete upon receipt of full payment. Semi-Final: £40 · Final: £80.

Submit Music (Final Only)

Music must be submitted in MP3 format at least 4 weeks before the event. File name: Name - Category - Genre.

Prepare Your Dancewear

If qualifying for the Final, ensure you have the correct Grand Défilé dancewear ready for the Awards Ceremony.

FAQs

Dancers may compete from the year they turn 9 until the year they turn 19. There are four categories based on year of birth: Pre-Junior, Junior, Mid, and Senior. Dancers who have held a professional contract are not eligible to compete.
No. Ballet Grand Prix welcomes dancers from all parts of the world. There are semi-final venues in both London and Scotland for your convenience.
Pre-Junior dancers perform a non-repertoire classical solo (original choreography rather than a classical variation) and a contemporary solo in the Final. There is no approved repertoire list requirement for this category.
Only dancers are permitted backstage and in changing rooms. Dancers in the Pre-Junior and Junior categories may request access to the green room for one parent or helper to assist with costume changes. All other attendees may only access the main foyer and auditorium with a valid audience ticket.
No — the Grand Défilé is a celebration, not a competition. All finalists who attend the scheduled rehearsals will perform together on stage at the Awards Ceremony.
